Born in Chicago, Magro traveled around as a child eventually landing in the southwest suburbs. Shortly after turning 21, she moved back to the city to grow her hospitality career. Most recently, she led the team as Bar Manager of critically and nationally acclaimed cocktail bar Prairie School in the West Loop. Magro worked to define the quintessential Midwestern cocktail experience—one that embodied hospitality, seasonality, sustainability, and community. Before running Prairie School she ran  another critically acclaimed establishment, Pub Royale, a friendly Indian food focused restaurant with an extensive beer list. For the past three years, she has been an integral part of the Heisler Hospitality family, working at Sportsman’s Club and helping open Pub Royale, Queen Mary and Estereo. She is currently focusing her energy on mentorship, sustainable practices and building a community in and outside of the food and beverage industry.
